Sustainable procurement

Description: Implement a sustainable procurement process, using a specific example from a key supplier, and then set medium-term goals.

Target criterion: Allocate at least 60% of its spending to regional suppliers and/or those committed to sustainability goals (certifications, charters) (Note: In certain sectors, such as digital services, “regional” refers to Europe as opposed to the U.S. or Asia).

Description: Work with employees to define the company’s purpose and make concrete commitments to improve its impact throughout its value chain.

Target criterion: Mechanisms in place to ensure consumer data protection, and ongoing dialogue with customers.

Fair practices

Description: Implement procedures to prevent corruption and unfair practices, and ensure that everyone conducts business in an ethical manner.

Target criterion: A code of conduct in place, with training and reporting mechanisms.

Ethical marketing

Description: Promote its products and services to boost sales by highlighting their sustainability, without resorting to greenwashing.

Target criterion: evaluation of communication tools based on the principles of sustainable communication.

CSR Management

Description: Integrate CSR into corporate management: allocate resources to monitor the implementation of all CSR initiatives, evaluate results, and recommend new initiatives.

Target criterion: A CSR manager, equipped with the necessary resources, oversees all CSR initiatives, which are reviewed by the executive committee.

Circular business model

Description: Develop services and products that adhere to the principles of the circular economy at every stage of the value chain.

Target criterion: Establish procedures to prevent corruption and unfair practices, and promote ethical conduct by everyone in the conduct of business.

Company

Equal pay

Description: Assess pay gaps within the company using the federal government’s software (Logib) and implement a pay equity plan if necessary.

Target criterion: differential according to Logib < 3% OR risk score <3.

Employee benefits

Description: Select and implement non-wage benefits that go beyond legal requirements: supplemental health insurance, parental leave, etc.

Target criterion: non-wage benefits plan evaluated by external expert stakeholders vs. legal minimums.

Protected health

Description: Create a workplace environment that protects employees’ physical and mental health, in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.

Target criterion: An occupational health and safety plan in place, evaluated by external expert stakeholders based on SECO guidelines.

Non-discrimination and inclusion

Description: Establish commitments to an inclusive work environment, communicate them, and monitor their implementation.

Target criterion: Diversity charter in place, implementation measured via an employee questionnaire + non-discriminatory hiring policy.

Skills development

Description: Align the needs of the company with those of its employees to implement a skills development plan that prepares for the future.

Target criterion: Annual training plan for the entire company.

Citizen contribution

Description: Work with employees to identify initiatives the company wishes to undertake to use its resources for the benefit of society: pro bono work, donations, political engagement, etc.

Target criterion: The company has selected at least one area of commitment in which it is making a long-term investment.

Environment

Renewable Energy

Description: Commitment to the first step in the energy transition: assessing your energy consumption and signing up for a 100% renewable energy plan.

Target criterion: Enter into energy contracts with at least 80% renewable energy, including solar and/or wind power.

Energy saving

Description: Identify opportunities for energy savings and implement a plan to reduce energy consumption throughout the company.

Target criterion: 50% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 (note: this target applies to energy used in buildings, such as heating and electricity).

Soft mobility

Description: Understand employees’ current commuting patterns and propose alternatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Target criterion: A plan in place with measurable grants or incentives.

Sustainable digital

Description: Understand and apply priority best practices to reduce digital-related greenhouse gas emissions.

Target criterion: A code of best practices in place, with a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030.

Waste reduction

Description: Estimate the amount of waste generated throughout the value chain, and identify and implement solutions to prevent, reduce, reuse, or recycle it.

Target criterion: A waste reduction plan in place, with a goal of recycling 80% of waste and reducing incinerable waste by 40%.

Soft deliveries

Description: Identify the modes of transportation used to receive and deliver the company’s products, and implement alternatives to reduce the carbon footprint.

Target criterion: A plan to reduce carbon-intensive deliveries is in place, with a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030.

Carbon reduction

Description: Conduct a carbon assessment of the company and develop an action plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Paris Agreement.

Target criterion: Carbon footprint assessment completed + roadmap to reduce total emissions by 40% by 2030.

Protected Resources

Description: Assess and limit the company’s impact on biodiversity, water, and land use.

Target criterion: The company reduces its water consumption, improves its impact on biodiversity, and stabilizes or reduces its land footprint (goal: zero net land take).
